The Hand Grenades GH-CS and GH-CS-1 are used as less than lethal options to incapacitate criminals, handle hostage situations, assist counter terrorist operations, as well as operations for order restoration (crowd control) by use of a smoke cloud containing the particle irritant CS Gas.
The intended use is to temporarily incapacitate a person(s) use of physical aggressive activity or disperse crowds with the CS smoke cloud, making it difficult to breathe or see clearly due to the irritating nature of the CS gas.
