The 7.62×54 mm ARSENAL Machine Gun MG-1MS is a modern version of the PKM, a powerful automatic weapon used against enemy troops, vehicles, and reinforced structures. Comparable to the U.S military medium machine gun, the M240B and M240G, the MG-1M is considerably lighter (approx. 7 lbs.), fires a larger round, and uses a non-disintegrating belt for the cartridge. Considered one of the most reliable machine guns still in service throughout the world, the MG-1MS is an overall excellent choice for firepower. Utilizing a fluted barrel, this design allows increased cooling surface of the barrel and is specifically intended to allow operation of the weapon in heavy climatic conditions (tropic and desert), which are typical for the regions of Middle East, south-east Asia and Africa. This model comes standard with the Bi-Pod and Tripod.

In general, the 7.62 mm MG-1MS preserves all technical characteristics of PKS and PKMS, but the results of the endurance test show that the System life and the barrel life of MG-1MS are increased in about 30% in comparison with PKMS, which is a result of some changes of the mechanisms and the increased cooling surface of the barrel.

• Chrome lined, cold hammer forged barrel providing an extremely durable and long-lasting barrel that also allows for use of corrosive and surplus ammunition if needed
• Modern design of the Flash Suppressor-Compensator.
• Butt and Hand guard, made of high quality and resistant glass fiber reinforced polycaproamide, not effected after heating by direct sun light, corrosion and humidity resistance, light and firm.
• Feeding by 100- or 200-round metal belt, put in a box.
• Spare barrel – for changing out when overheating during combat or training
• Fluted barrels to increase cooling and barrel life
• Includes the Arsenal Tripod that can also be converted to free swinging to engage aircraft.
